For the past several years, Correos has been committed to the fight against climate change.
Among the actions taken for this purpose, the company made efforts to reduce its CO2 emissions, and in 2019, it went one step further by incorporating the offset of remaining emissions.
Correos, which is aiming to be carbon-neutral in by 2030, implemented the ‘Correos Offsets’ initiative almost three years ago in collaboration with ClimateTrade, in order to offset the emissions of shipments posted by individuals and companies from any of the logistics company’s almost 2,400 locations.
The carbon credits acquired by Correos are generated by various projects, some promoting the use of renewable energy, others avoiding the deforestation of specific types of trees or reforesting areas ravaged by wildfires within Spain.
